We do not collect any personal information.
Information We Collect
Mini Crypto Peek is designed with privacy in mind:
- No account creation required
- No personal data is collected or transmitted
- No analytics or tracking services are used
- No advertising is displayed
Data Stored Locally
The app stores the following preferences locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults:
- Selected cryptocurrency for menu bar display
- Preferred fiat currency (USD, EUR, etc.)
- Watchlist of cryptocurrencies
- Price alert settings
- App preferences (refresh interval, display options)
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Network Requests
Mini Crypto Peek makes network requests to the CoinGecko API (api.coingecko.com) to fetch cryptocurrency price data. These requests:
- Do not include any personal information
- Only request publicly available market data
- Are made directly from your device to CoinGecko's servers

Notifications
If you enable price alerts, the app uses macOS local notifications to alert you when prices reach your targets. Notification permissions are managed by macOS and you can disable them at any time in System Settings.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service used is:
- CoinGecko API - For fetching cryptocurrency market data
We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services.
Data Security
All data is stored locally on your device using macOS's built-in secure storage mechanisms. Since we don't collect or transmit personal data, there is no risk of data breaches from our end.
Children's Privacy
Mini Crypto Peek does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
